Managing files in Windows isn't always simple and you're often left wondering why Microsoft has restricted the amount of things you can do with files. Thankfully, it is possible to access extra functions for changing and managing files, but you're going to need a third party application to do so. PropertyEditor is just such an application and lets you configure several more options.

First off, the program displays the path to the file and also its size. Then you can add new functions to the menu, indicating that the PropertyEditor is responsible fo a particular task. Another useful option is to assign a drive letter to a folder or device. Through a series of tabs you can tweak typical NTFS options such as the allocation of icons to files, manipulate the creation dates, and inidicate the state of the file (i.e. hidden, indexed, reading, temporary, etc.) In some cases you do need to be careful when changing file data as they is no way of reverting back to a file's original state.

If used correctly though, PropertyEditor opens up a world of new options for making your files easier to handle.
